Job summary

Realex Payments is seeking a senior leader to define and deliver a global network strategy, spanning enterprise, cloud, and data centre environments. You will lead distributed engineering and operations teams, driving modernization through automation and standardisation while ensuring service resilience and security.

You will own budgets, engage with executives, and collaborate with cloud, security, and architecture leaders to deliver transformational outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must possess proven experience delivering global network strategies and leading distributed teams.
• Track record in transforming technology landscapes with emphasis on reliability, security and scalability.
• Strong stakeholder management, budget ownership, and executive communication.
• Experience with financial services or regulated industries is a plus.
• Experience in large-scale network migrations or mergers/acquisitions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the global network strategy across enterprise, cloud, data centre, and partner environments.
• Lead global network engineering and operations teams to ensure service excellence for colleagues, clients, and operations.
• Build and execute network modernization roadmaps emphasizing automation and standardisation.
• Own operational performance, availability, risk management, and resilience; lead major incidents.
• Partner with engineering, cloud, security, and architecture leaders while managing budgets and suppliers.
• Demonstrate strong expertise across WAN, LAN, data centre networking, routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and cloud connectivity.
• Lead geographically distributed teams and develop leaders across regions/time zones.
• Drive technology transformation programs with stability in critical environments.
• Maintain strong commercial and stakeholder management with executive-level communication.
• Bonus: experience in payments, banking, or regulated industries.
• Experience leading network integration and large-scale migrations.
