Job summary

PwC UK is seeking a Senior Associate in national employment tax to advise clients on complex international employer matters. You will handle cross-border payroll issues, social security, and multi-jurisdiction withholding while delivering practical client solutions.

The role offers collaboration with global teams, technology-enabled approaches, and a focus on developing your expertise in international employment tax within a supportive national practice.

Qualifications

• Good technical knowledge of international employment taxes gained in advisory, in-house or global mobility roles.
• Experience with business visitors, cross-border commuters and internationally mobile employees.
• Experience with international social security and interaction with cross-border reward arrangements.
• Ability to apply double tax treaty principles, PAYE and National Insurance to equity and deferred compensation.
• Experience supporting international employment tax advisory work in practice, in-house or global mobility environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver international employment tax advisory work for clients across sectors, coordinating with UK and overseas teams.
• Research legislation, case law, regulatory changes and best practice, then draft clear technical analysis and client-facing recommendations.
• Contribute to client projects, campaigns, surveys, blogs and proposals, identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the national team and global network to deliver high-quality client solutions.
