Job summary

NCC Group in London is seeking a Head of Global Detection Engineering to lead a global team that builds, maintains and improves MXDR detection logic across multiple technologies, guided by a strategy aligned to market and client needs.

The role focuses on market-leading detection coverage, high fidelity detections for advanced cyber attacks, and low false positives, with collaboration across NCC and GMS leadership to drive continual improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• Experience in detection engineering across SIEM/EDR (NDR desirable).
• Experience in a global firm and multicultural context.
• Ability to navigate a complex international environment undergoing change.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborate with clients and NCC teams to improve services.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global implementation team for MXDR detection logic.
• Part of GMS DevSecOps leadership, shaping platform vision and features.
• Ensure wide market coverage with high-fidelity detections and low false positives.
• Manage senior detection engineers and their teams by technology set.
• Coordinate with TI, CERT, Red Team findings to drive improvements.
• Provide transparency on detection coverage to clients.
• Apply data science to large datasets to improve attack detection and alert correlation.
