Job summary

Plan International is recruiting for a Deployable Child Protection in Emergencies Specialist to support global humanitarian responses. This roster position involves deployment for 2 to 6 months and will be contacted for opportunities as they arise.

Successful applicants will be added to Plan International's CPHA roster; while roster membership is not paid, deployed assignments include salary, per diem, accommodation and travel insurance, with ongoing engagement through the roster.

Qualifications

• Solid work experience in international humanitarian settings with progressively responsible roles in designing, leading and coordinating Child Protection in Humanitarian Action programmes.
• Expertise in working with child survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).
• Proficiency in English; ability to work in Spanish is required for roster consideration.
• Commitment to safeguarding and PSEAH as core to our ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership to Plan International's child protection response in a specific crisis.
• Coordinate assessment, response analysis, design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of child protection in emergencies.
• Ensure gender equality is embedded in the response and adherence to minimum standards.
