Job summary

Societe Generale in London seeks a motivated Analyst to join the Communications Surveillance team within Compliance. You will monitor electronic and voice communications, investigate alerts, and support regulatory enquiries across global business lines.

The role collaborates with Compliance, Front Office and other control functions across EMEA, APAC and the Americas to strengthen surveillance methods and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in Compliance Surveillance, Market Conduct or Communications Surveillance.
• Understanding of market abuse risks and regulatory expectations in wholesale financial markets.
• Experience conducting investigations and analyzing alerts with risk-based outcomes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Communications Surveillance: conduct surveillance across in-scope areas using approved platforms.
• Review and analyse alerts to identify market conduct, regulatory or reputational risks.
• Escalate suspicious or high-risk activity following governance procedures.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails to support decisions and investigations.
• Perform detailed investigations into alerts, incidents and risk themes.
• Prepare investigation reports and present findings to Compliance management.
• Support regulatory reporting where applicable.
• Assist with internal reviews, regulatory enquiries, audits and thematic assessments.
• Identify surveillance gaps and opportunities to strengthen controls.
• Contribute to surveillance methodologies and new monitoring capabilities.
