Job summary

Pfizer invites undergraduates to join the Global Commercial Strategy Undergraduate team in Tadworth for a 12-month placement. You will contribute to launch readiness, competitive intelligence, and marketing concepts while working with cross-functional partners across US and International teams.

You will gain hands-on experience in budgeting, vendor coordination, congress planning, and applied AI tools within a live launch program, developing a portfolio of tangible contributions.

Qualifications

• Completing placement as part of University Degree either through Year In Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year.
• Studying Business, Marketing, Economics, Life Sciences, Pharmacy or a related subject (other disciplines welcome).
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrable AI fluency.
• Confident using Excel and PowerPoint, and comfortable working with numbers.
• Great written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious and analytical, able to summarise information clearly.
• Ability to identify what is most important and prioritise several tasks accordingly.
• Collaborative mindset, comfortable working in a global, virtual team.
• Shows initiative and is eager to learn and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Launch readiness: keep the team’s launch readiness tracker current and present updates.
• Competitive intelligence: monitor competitor landscape and create concise updates.
• Vendor partnership: coordinate with our CI agency and organize materials.
• Monthly competitive intelligence calls: schedule agendas, pre-reads, notes and follow-up.
• Budget: maintain trackers and flag variances with Finance.
• Congress support: help prepare for key medical congresses and capture insights.
• Marketing and creative input: contribute to brand positioning and launch materials.
• Team support: prepare slides and summaries and use AI tools to streamline work.
• Your own project: own a team-question from brief to presentation in H2.
