Job summary

Universal Music Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its Operations Center. You will manage server and cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and Google, diagnose issues, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.

The role requires strong virtualization, scripting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced global environment. The position involves on-call rotations, shift-based hours, and ensuring high availability of enterprise systems across regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in technical server management and/or enterprise Cloud systems (AWS, Azure, Google)
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technology (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience scripting to develop automation and reporting
• Experience managing large cloud server infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and solve problems under time constraints and business pressure
• Contribute to capacity and performance analysis
• Collaborate with vendors and global IT groups to resolve issues promptly
• Serve as primary escalation point for operational issues and maintain timely communications
• Monitor infrastructure alerts and maintain documentation
• Maintain high quality operational standards and disaster recovery procedures
• Develop automation to reduce routine tasks and improve efficiency
• Participate in on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work
• Keep knowledge up-to-date on key technologies
