Job summary

Merck Healthcare in the United Kingdom is seeking a Clinical Site Management Excellence Lead to steer planning, execution, and oversight of clinical trial monitoring and site management across global programs. The role ensures harmonized, inspection-ready practices, adapting to decentralized and risk-based monitoring models.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Clinical Research or equivalent professional experience.
• 12+ years of experience in clinical research with site management and clinical monitoring.
• ICH-GCP guidelines knowledge including ICH E6(R3).
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex matrix organizations without direct authority.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and oversight of clinical trial monitoring and site management.
• Globally harmonize practices, ensure inspection-readiness and adapt to decentralized and risk-based monitoring models.
• Partner with regional Heads, CROs, vendors, and study teams to shape system requirements and drive adoption of compliant processes.
• Drive continuous improvement through data-driven performance metrics within GMP/ICH frameworks.
