Job summary

The Chief Digital Officer at the University of East London will define and deliver the Group's enterprise-wide digital strategy, leading a globally connected, data-driven transformation. You will oversee digital platforms, AI, analytics, and cyber resilience while aligning technology with the careers-first mission and Forward to 2040 ambitions.

Qualifications

• Substantial executive or senior leadership experience in digital transformation, technology, data or digital product leadership.
• Experience delivering enterprise-wide digital strategies linked to organisational growth and performance.
• Proven ability to lead complex transformation initiatives across large organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of UEL's digital strategy aligned to Forward to 2040.
• Drive organisation-wide digital transformation and embed digital thinking.
• Translate strategic priorities into digital initiatives, investments and measurable outcomes.
• Advise executive leadership on digital opportunities, risks and performance.
• Position data as a strategic institutional asset and enable evidence-based decision-making.
