Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Category Manager in the Chemicals category to drive end-to-end procurement strategies across global operations. The role focuses on cost-out, resiliency, working capital improvements and supplier partnerships to optimize Enterprise spend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
• Professional Supply Chain related certification (e.g. CPM, CPIM).
• Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations.
• 3+ years of experience as category manager.
• Experience with chemicals purchasing.
• 5 years of experience with accountability across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies to meet spend and cost targets.
• Drive cross-business synergies and leverage suppliers globally.
• Negotiate and manage key supplier contracts.
• Ensure compliance to category agreements and SCM strategies.
• Lead regional teams to achieve supply chain objectives.
• Identify innovative supply solutions and drive cost-out.
• Benchmark procurement processes and adopt best practices.
• Align corporate and business-unit plans with procurement.
• Build relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Conduct Supplier Business Reviews and negotiate key spend.
