Job summary

Smith+Neb is hiring a Global Category Manager, Consultancy & Finance Services. You will lead the global category strategy across Management Consultancy, Audit, Financial Services, Insurance and outsourced services, influencing senior stakeholders worldwide.

You'll shape external advisor engagements, drive negotiations, governance and value delivery while partnering with Finance, Legal and business leaders to enable transformation and growth.

Consultancy and Finance Services sit at the heart of many of Smith+Neb's most important business decisions, transformation programmes and strategic investments. As Global Category Manager, Consultancy & Finance Services, you'll shape how the organisation accesses external expertise across management consulting, audit, financial services, insurance and outsourced services.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Legal and the wider business, you'll influence high value decisions, build strategic supplier partnerships and help drive sustainable value across a globally significant portfolio. This is an opportunity to combine commercial leadership, stakeholder influence and category expertise to make a visible impact across the organisation while helping shape the future of Procurement at Smith+Neb.

What will you be doing?

As Global Category Manager, Consultancy & Finance Services, you will lead the development and execution of the global category strategy across Management Consultancy, Audit Services, Financial Services, Insurance and selected Outsourced Services.

Partnering with Finance, Legal and business leaders around the world, you will help shape how Smith+Neb engages with external advisors, consultants and specialist service providers. You'll use market insight, supplier expertise and commercial acumen to influence key decisions, improve governance, optimise spend and ensure the business receives maximum value from external partnerships.

You will lead strategic sourcing initiatives, complex negotiations and supplier relationships across a diverse portfolio of global providers. At the same time, you'll support business transformation initiatives, helping stakeholders access the expertise they need while balancing innovation, risk management and commercial performance.

As a trusted advisor, you'll challenge conventional thinking, encourage smarter ways of working and help strengthen Procurement's position as a strategic partner across the business. Through your leadership and influence, you'll play a key role in shaping how Smith+Neb deploys external expertise to support growth, transformation and operational excellence.

What will you need to be successful?

Success in this role comes from combining strategic thinking, commercial leadership and the ability to build credibility across a complex global organisation. You'll be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, navigating ambiguity and turning business priorities into effective category strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.

• Significant experience managing Consultancy, Professional Services, Advisory Services, Financial Services or related categories within a complex global organisation
• A proven track record of developing and executing category strategies that deliver sustainable business value and support transformation objectives
• Strong experience leading complex sourcing initiatives, commercial negotiations and strategic supplier relationships
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across a global matrix environment
