Overview

This role is in support of Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business. We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Global Bid Manager. to support the overall sales strategy and revenue objectives. The Role: The Global Bid Manager uses their technical expertise and expert knowledge in best practices to drive improvements in World Courier's overall approach to bid management, across multiple dimensions including process, bid/no-bid decisions, and content, to yield improvements in World Courier's bid conversion rate. Lead the global bid team in, and contribute directly to, project managing internal resource in cross-functional, global environment to achieve the complete and timely response of official Tenders (RFP's / RFQ's), RFI's and related client requests assigned,

Responsibilities
  • Direct and influence the Regional Bid Managers, ensuring process compliance & quality of responses
  • is maintained
  • Support customer business reviews and other adhoc. requests through manipulation of data and
  • creation of presentation materials
  • Manage the upkeep & maintenance of the global Bid Library, ensuring regular reviews of content &
  • addition of any new materials, working with the Subject Matter Experts
  • Work with Salesforce.com and the development team to maximize efficiencies, process, capability, and usage with regards to World Courier's Bid Management function
  • Design or update, and implement efficiencies and process' as required
  • Provide training on process' as required
  • Manage World Courier's Deal Desk programme, including deal selection and weekly meeting participation
  • Provide expert input into with large opportunities as needed in an informal manner
  • May be required to travel domestically and internationally on occasion
  • Focus on development of World Courier's Global Bid Management function through the identification of
  • new tools, processes and training & certification opportunities
  • Embed the best practices of the APMP and other proposal professional bodies as appropriate
  • As an ST&E senior leader, contribute to the strategy and direction of both the ST&E team, and wider Commercial organization
Qualifications
  • Broad experience in fields such as sales, project management, or similar vocations
  • Experience of both direct and matrixed people management
  • Understands sales trends and operating assumptions
  • Experience of working in a logistics or pharmaceutical environment
  • Good experience with Microsoft office suite and data analytics
  • Working knowledge of sales management, sales planning, successful strategic and consultative selling techniques, and related information
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of various diverse scope in a cross-functional, global environment
  • Experience of working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce.com)
  • Business process improvement and change management capabilities
  • Management of internal and cross-functional resource
