In this pivotal role, you'll drive world-class standards in food safety, ethical trading, and environmental compliance across a fast-paced, international supply chain.

Global Auditing Manager Role Overview

This Europe or North African-based role for a UK-based fresh produce supplier, is central to ensuring integrity, sustainability, and trust throughout their global supply chain. You will lead and conduct supplier audits worldwide, support compliance with major retailer and internal standards, and implement corrective action plans to deliver measurable improvements. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on operational delivery, offering the opportunity to influence both supplier practices and internal processes.

Global Auditing Manager Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct supplier audits across food safety, ethical trade, and environmental standards worldwide.
  • Oversee and assist the packing at source, being key to the beginning and end of season quality.
  • Audit against major retailer and company standards (e.g., Tesco, M&S, JS).
  • Maintain live global audit schedules and ensure timely reporting of audit results.
  • Support suppliers in creating and closing corrective action plans and lead initiatives to implement sustainable improvements.
  • Prepare and assist sites during customer visits and high‑profile audits.
  • Carry out ethical trade, human rights, and accommodation risk assessments for high‑risk suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams across multiple regions.
  • Analyse audit non‑conformance trends, investigate serious issues/incidents, and coordinate improvement plans with key stakeholders.
  • Support the development and training of auditing and technical teams to embed best‑in‑class audit standards.
  • Travel internationally to conduct audits and support suppliers across Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Asia.
Global Auditing Manager Key Requirements

Proven experience in conducting food safety, ethical, and environmental compliance audits within the fresh produce supply chain.

Familiarity with international and UK‑centric food safety, integrity, and human rights standards.

Willingness to travel internationally.

For ease of collaboration, we're looking for someone located in Europe or North Africa, although travel will be required regardless.

Ability to speak and read Arabic would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will enjoy the security of a permanent contract while working on a self‑employed basis, invoicing our UK client each month. You will have everything you need to succeed, including business equipment, a travel card, and reimbursement for mileage.
