Job summary

Macquarie is seeking a senior, deeply technical leader to define and execute a global Applied AI strategy. You will sit at the intersection of business strategy, engineering, data architecture, AI/ML and enterprise risk management, turning AI from experiments into scalable capability.

You will partner with business leaders and engineering to deliver high-value AI use cases with guardrails, observability, and risk controls across a global platform.

Qualifications

• Senior technical leader with a track record across software, data, ML and AI platform engineering.
• Deep understanding of distributed data architectures and cloud-first delivery.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML in production with governance and risk controls.
• Ability to quantify business value and prioritise initiatives beyond PoCs.
• Experience with agentic systems, tool-calling and workflow orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Applied AI strategy across business enablement, data use and automation.
• Partner with leaders to identify high-value AI opportunities and align with risk controls.
• Design, deploy and realise value from enterprise-scale AI use cases.
