Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc’s Highways division invites a GIS Analyst to join the Lower Thames Crossing project. You will support GIS delivery, create map outputs, manage data and work with CAD/data stakeholders to convert data to GIS formats.

You'll engage users, develop GIS tools and dashboards, and use FME to automate workflows. The role emphasizes ESRI GIS, data accuracy, and collaboration across the IM team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the ESRI ecosystem, including tools and Geodatabases.
• Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience of data quality and assurance.
• Experience of FME Desktop.
• Ability to learn new skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience of coding for GIS.
• Ability to work to deadlines, with supervision as needed.
• Ability to travel to multiple sites (where required).
• Ability to manage time effectively

Responsibilities

• Provide support to GIS Co-ordinators and GIS Consultant/Developer in the delivery of GIS requirements.
• Create GIS map outputs.
• Support with managing data and ensuring accuracy of data, including assurance to the required standards.
• Assist the team as they work closely with CAD Co-ordinators and data stakeholders to convert data to GIS formats.
• Training users on GIS technology.
• Engage with users to help improve their work and deal with queries.
• Assist in the development of GIS tools and workflows, including field apps and dashboards.
• Assist in using FME to create automated workflows.
