Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a proactive Sales Ledger Clerk – German Speaking to join the finance team in Manchester. This role involves raising invoices for EU/UK entities, chasing debts, and maintaining records across multiple countries. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Excel and have at least 2 years of finance experience, alongside fluent German and English skills. The position includes engaging with customers to ensure payments are made promptly, making it essential to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of Finance experience in Ledger work and/or credit control.
• Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with ledgers and customers across multiple countries and languages.
• Chasing outstanding debt by phone and email to ensure payment.
• Posting receipts to customers’ accounts promptly.
• Running Aged debt reports and extracting to Excel.
• Checking credit limits and opening new customer accounts.
• Raising invoices each month as part of a wider team.
• Assisting in resolving complex queries within the team.
• Identifying gaps in current processes and suggesting improvements.
