A manufacturing company in Birmingham is seeking a German-speaking Export Sales Manager to join their international export sales team. You will maintain and develop relationships with clients in DACH and Eastern Europe, achieve sales targets, and manage customer inquiries. Ideal candidates will be fluent in German and English, possess strong communication skills, and have a proactive approach. Salary ranges from £34,000 to £50,000 OTE per year.

  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) is essential.
  • Ideally educated to university degree level (preferable).

  • Proactive and outgoing personality with the ability to work from own initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new sales strategies to find new customers.
  • Occasionally travel to the DACH & East Europe territory (2-3 times per year).
  • Achieve sales targets and support the growth of the business.
  • Prepare quotations and process orders.
  • Manage customer enquiries from the DACH and East Europe markets.
  • Analyse customer accounts and sales data to monitor sales figures.

About the Company

Our client is a long standing and hugely successful manufacturing company, exporting successfully across the world into a range of business sectors.

The Role

To join their international export sales team, they wish to recruit a German speaking Export Sales Manager. Supporting business clients from the German speaking countries of Europe (DACH), as well as key countries in eastern Europe (Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia), your job will concentrate on maintaining long standard established sales relationships key clients as well as developing new accounts.

Your typical job responsibilities will include:
  • Develop new sales strategies to find new customers
  • Occasionally travel to the DACH & East Europe territory (2-3 times per year) to maintain and develop accounts
  • Achieve sales targets and support the growth of the business
  • Prepare quotations and process orders
  • Manage customer enquiries from the DACH and East Europe markets
  • Analyse customer accounts and sales data to monitor sales figures and produce targeted special offers
