Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a Consultant in Healthcare for Older People and Stroke Medicine in North Devon. The role offers autonomy with supportive colleagues from the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, and opportunities to pursue frailty, ortho-geriatrics, and stroke-related subspecialties within a rural, diverse population.

The post supports a forward-thinking NHS Trust that values innovation, research, and digital development, with a two-site collaboration and a flexible, full-time pattern (10 PAs).

Qualifications

• Experience as a Consultant in Healthcare
• Ability to work across multiple sub-specialties including frailty, ortho-geriatrics, movement disorders, syncope, stroke, community and peri-operative medicine.
• Ability to provide autonomous clinical leadership with team support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the front-door frailty service.
• Pursue sub-specialties aligned with interests of the applicant.
• Collaborate with the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust teams for shared care and mutual support.
