Project Manager – Geotechnical Team

Location: Lancashire

Employment Type: Permanent

Our client is a multi-disciplinary infrastructure company delivering specialist solutions across rail, civils, and plant sectors. They provide expert geotechnical support across a range of UK infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage geotechnical projects from award through to successful completion.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day project operations, including supervision, programming, and health & safety.
  • Prepare and manage H&S documentation, risk assessments, and environmental plans.
  • Coordinate surveys, subcontractors, and third‑party stakeholders.
  • Ensure project delivery meets programme, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, supporting their professional development.
  • Produce accurate reporting, cost reconciliation, and performance reviews.
  • Uphold high HSQE standards.
About You
  • Degree‑qualified in a geotechnical discipline with 5–10 years’ relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GI techniques, BS(EN) standards, and related codes of practice.
  • Proven experience managing multiple geotechnical or civil engineering projects.
  • Excellent communicator with strong leadership and client management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, project reporting, and data presentation.
  • CSCS (Manager level), SMSTS, and CDM Regulations 2015 training preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work across multiple project sites.
