Job summary

SLR Consulting is looking for an experienced Geotechnical Design Engineer to join the European Geotechnical Team. This hybrid role will be based primarily in Sheffield, with responsibilities including leading geotechnical design projects, managing client relations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in UK geotechnical design and possess a relevant degree, preferably with chartered status. A competitive salary and flexible working options are offered to promote work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering UK geotechnical design projects, particularly National Highways work.
• Chartered status (CEng or CGeol) or equivalent capability.
• Strong knowledge of relevant design codes, standards and CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of geotechnical design projects from planning to detailed design.
• Manage client relationships and proposals.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and collaborate with various teams.
