Job summary

Tony Gee and Partners in Glasgow is seeking an Associate Director to lead our Geotechnics team, delivering high‑quality geotechnical design and project leadership across sectors in the Scottish and wider UK market.

The role requires strong technical delivery, people management and a track record of successful project control, with responsibilities spanning desk studies, investigations, and earthworks design while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with MEng/BEng in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Specialist Geotechnical qualification, e.g. MSc or similar, is desirable.
• Experience in geotechnical design within multidisciplinary design teams and delivery of desk studies, ground investigations, interpretative reporting, and earthworks/foundation/slopes design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the geotechnics team and oversee project delivery.
• Design earthworks, foundations and slopes within multi-sector projects.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to work-winning activities.
• Mentor less experienced staff and promote technical excellence.
• Promote the use of digital tools in ground engineering and ensure QA processes.
