Job summary
Arup is seeking graduates for a UK geospatial role in Cardiff. The UK geospatial team blends geography, data and digital tech to support transport, water, energy, cities, planning and major infrastructure projects.
You will collect, manage and analyse spatial data, create maps and dashboards, and develop repeatable geospatial workflows. This is a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with opportunities to learn across sectors.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Bachelor's degree in Geography & Geospatial Science or related field.
- Understanding of GIS and spatial data concepts; ability to analyse data and make maps/visualisations.
- Experience with at least one desktop GIS (ArcGIS Pro or QGIS) and ability to learn new tools.
Responsibilities
- Collect, manage, assure and analyse spatial data to support multidisciplinary projects.
- Create maps, dashboards, apps and visualisations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop efficient, repeatable geospatial workflows using GIS, data engineering, scripting and automation.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners and clients to translate requirements into spatial insights.
- Contribute to innovation and standards while gaining experience across projects and geospatial specialisms.
