Job description

Dynamic, highly commercial, rapidly expanding, market leading, providing a very worthwhile and humanitarian service - interested?

Our client is a VC backed international company with a unique culture - a blend of being highly professional and profit focused yet with the additional reward of making a valuable humanitarian contribution to society on the World stage in the field of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO).

Due to their ongoing growth, they seek to appoint a capable, diligent and ambitious marine Geophysicist into a brand new role to provide technical support and help develop a growing survey department with a multitude of operations in and out of the UK.

As a Geophysicist you will work remotely and your role will include:

  • Processing, interpreting and reporting of geophysical data, including sub-bottom profiler, side scan sonar and magnetometer;
  • Leading processing teams to deliver high data quality at all phases throughout the project life cycle, including acquisition, processing, interpretation, reporting and deliverables;
  • Leading and assisting with vessel mobilisations and demobilisations where required.
  • Undertaking offshore survey operations, including offshore processing, assisting with back-deck operations, undertaking coverage checks and creating infill line plans.
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring other members of the team.

You will be required to work offshore for periods of up to 4 weeks, both nationally and internationally. It is a requirement for you to hold a full driver licence and pass an offshore medical assessment.

This is a business with momentum. They support and develop their staff and have created a great atmosphere in which the right person will develop their responsibility.
