Job summary

Kingston upon Thames School is seeking a Geography Teacher to join the Humanities Department. You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE, in a vibrant and supportive environment in Kingston upon Thames.

The successful candidate will use case studies, data, maps and real-world examples to develop students' analytical and geographical skills, with emphasis on enquiry-based learning and fieldwork where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Geography degree required.
• QTS or recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4.
• GCSE Geography experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE.
• Use case studies, data, maps and contemporary examples to investigate geographical issues.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to provide appropriate challenge and support.
• Incorporate fieldwork and enquiry-based learning where appropriate.
