Location:Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Salary:£140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate Geography Teacher looking to engage and challenge secondary school students? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Worksop.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are committed to delivering dynamic and informative lessons that bring geography to life.

About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that stimulate curiosity about physical and human geography. You’ll be responsible for teaching the national curriculum to students at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level, supporting academic achievement and encouraging global awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging Geography lessons.
  • Adapt teaching to support students across a range of abilities.
  • Prepare pupils for GCSE exams and track their progress.
  • Use varied resources, including digital tools, to enhance learning.
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and foster a positive classroom culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole-school initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialism or strong experience in teaching Geography at secondary level.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A ten-year career history with references covering the last two years, including your most recent role.
