Job summary

Shenfield in Essex is seeking a Geography Teacher for a full-time role in a well-regarded secondary school. The position covers KS3 and KS4, with a broad geography curriculum and a focus on engaging, enquiry-based learning.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, with pay determined by experience under the MPS/UPS framework and a good Ofsted rating. You will deliver differentiated lessons and promote fieldwork and data analysis.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• Degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
• Experience teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4 within a secondary school.
• DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Job Overview:

• This school caters for students aged 11-16.
• Full-time, Monday - Friday, Geography Teacher role.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Inspire students through creative and thought-provoking teaching that develops geographical knowledge, enquiry skills and an understanding of both physical and human geography.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress to ensure strong attainment and positive outcomes.

What we're looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• A degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
• Experience teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4 within a secondary school.
• A passion for Geography and the ability to engage, motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• A proactive, positive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
