Job summary

Prospero Teaching, in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Harrow, is seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join the Humanities department from September 2026. You will deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, plan, prepare and assess in line with the national curriculum, and monitor progress through effective feedback while creating an inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and deep subject knowledge.
• Passionate about inspiring students and raising attainment.
• DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Monitor and support student progress through effective feedback and assessment.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning.
• Work collaboratively within the Humanities department and contribute to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management skills and excellent subject knowledge.
• Passionate about inspiring young people and raising attainment.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
