Geoenvironmental Engineer Position - Manchester, UK

As part of my client’s ongoing expansion and confirmed future workload, they are seeking to recruit a permanent Geoenvironmental Engineer to support the technical delivery of remediation and enabling projects across the UK. The initial assignment is a 12-month project in Manchester, with potential extension to a 2-year contract.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Project Manager with site investigations
  • Collecting, managing, and interpreting data
  • Assisting with report writing to secure regulator approval of remediation strategies

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of postgraduate experience in a related field, with significant on-site experience preferred
  • Knowledge of soil description, sampling, remedial approaches, and earthworks practices (training provided)
  • Geotechnical experience is advantageous
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel and work away from home as needed (expenses covered)
  • SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid certifications are beneficial

Salary and Benefits:

The annual salary ranges from £35,000 to £40,000, depending on experience and suitability. The package includes additional benefits typical of a large, successful company.
