Job description
Core Responsibilities
  • Preparation of project HSSE plans.
  • Conduct monitoring events that include standards and procedures for sampling of groundwater, soil gas, soil, sediment, stormwater, and surface water.
  • Assist with the drilling and installation of groundwater monitoring wells and geologic logging of soils during drilling and site environmental investigations.
  • Perform field measurements and calculations.
  • Record and compile field data using tablets.
  • Ensure the safety and health of yourself, Worley Consulting employees, and their on‑site contractors; and protect the environment in which we work.
  • Equipment calibration, maintenance and repair.
  • Perform assigned office duties, such as data entry, processing borehole logs, presenting data, and supporting report preparation.
  • Coordinate and communicate with client representatives, subcontractors, and Worley Consulting employees.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to Worley Consulting's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education to A‑Level or equivalent.
  • Ability to independently complete field assignments and summarise field data for use in reporting.
  • Proficient in MS Office skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
  • Strong initiative, problem‑solving and communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Be willing to travel and spend periods of time away on field‑based projects across the UK and internationally.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK and hold a full valid driving licence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years' experience in relevant field.
  • Honours degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Geology, Applied Environmental Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Consultancy, Geochemistry), though a degree in a relevant subject would be preferred but may not be essential for the right candidate. Relevant experience is preferred but is not essential.
