Job summary

Waterman Infrastructure & Environment in Manchester is seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the Ground Engineering team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working and opportunities for professional development.

You will support geo-environmental projects, supervise investigations, prepare risk assessments, log soils, sample monitoring, and contribute to remediation design across the UK.

Qualifications

  • BSc or equivalent in Geology, Environmental Science or similar.
  • Working towards membership of a relevant professional body with a longer-term goal to move toward chartership with a relevant institution.
  • Basic knowledge of planning legislation.
  • Experience of site inspections and reporting.
  • Able to complete interpretative assessments to a basic level.
  • Able to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
  • Track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget.
  • In possession of full UK driving license.

  • Reviewing and interpreting factual site investigation data.
  • Travel to other offices and sites within the UK (as needed).

Waterman Infrastructure & Environment are recruiting for a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the team based in Manchester, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. The Ground Engineering team provides geoenvironmental consultancy and geotechnical design services to a range of external clients including developers, house-builders, local authorities and contractors.
