Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Geotechnical & Environmental Engineers to join a leading consultancy in Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a minimum of two years' experience in the geotechnical or environmental sector who are looking to take the next step in their career and gain exposure to a wide range of projects across the UK.

The Role

You’ll be involved in delivering geotechnical and environmental consultancy services across multiple sectors including housing, construction, rail, highways, utilities, healthcare, and government.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site investigations and soil logging
  • Gas and groundwater monitoring
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Preparing factual and interpretive reports

The position will include both site-based and office/laboratory work, providing a varied and engaging workload.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a geotechnical or environmental consultancy role
  • Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Geotechnical Engineering (or similar)
  • Full UK driving licence (must be over 21 for insurance purposes)
  • Valid CSCS card or willingness to obtain one
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally stay away when required
