Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group Ltd. in Nuthall is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant to join Acer Court Care Home. You will deliver high standards of personal care, support residents’ independence, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

No previous experience required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided; DBS check is required and costs covered. You will work as part of a supportive team, upholding our values of care, respect and compassion.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry out reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care to residents and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene care and daily activities to promote independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise clinical risk areas in residents and escalate identified risks promptly.
• Interact courteously with residents and visitors, maintaining dignity and individuality of each resident.
