A leading research institute in Oxford is seeking a motivated Genomics Scientist to join their Genome Technologies Laboratory. Fuelled by growing ambition and the strength of Oxford’s science ecosystem, EIT is now expanding its footprint to a 2 million sq ft Campus across the western part of The Oxford Science Park. Designed by Foster + Partners led by Lord Norman Foster, this will become a transformative workplace for up to 7,000 people, with autonomous laboratories, purpose-built laboratories including a plant sciences building and dynamic spaces to spark interdisciplinary collaboration.

We’re seeking a motivated Genomics Scientist to join our Genome Technologies Laboratory within the Pathogen Program. This innovation hub develops and validates cutting-edge sequencing protocols for pathogen isolates using short- and long-read platforms (Illumina, Oxford Nanopore, PacBio).
Working closely with the Lead Genomics Scientist, you’ll design and refine methods for DNA/RNA extraction, library prep, and workflow integration. You’ll thrive in a collaborative R&D environment alongside bioinformaticians and automation specialists, driving innovation that advances global health through science and technology.
