Job summary

A reputable engineering firm based in the UK is seeking a Generator Engineer to install and test electrical and power systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical and electrical gensets, including familiarity with diesel and gas generators. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £40-50k per annum along with additional benefits such as a company van and holiday allowance. The role requires occasional travel away from home.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Gensets (mechanical and electrical) is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with diesel generators and knowledge of gas generators is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Installing electrical systems including power and control cables.
  • Fabrication, welding, and pipe fitting.
  • Electrical testing of systems.
  • Creating parts/material lists.
  • Familiarity with Control Systems, ideally Deep Sea and/or Comap.

Skills

Experience with Gensets (mechanical and electrical)
Familiar with all aspects of diesel generators
