General Service Assistant – Defence Sector

Clare Barracks, Ripon HG4 2RD.

Full‑time | Permanent | 35 hours per week | £12.21 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a General Service Assistant, you'll be front and centre in delivering a welcoming experience to our customers. Your day‑to‑day will include:

• Serve food and beverages to customers
• Clean back‑of‑house areas, crockery and cutlery
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines, preparation and public areas
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made‑to‑order services
• Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults or hazards identified during the course of the work
• Perform daily paperwork
• Keep diligent records as required
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• A friendly, customer‑focused attitude
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a bonus – but not essential, full training provided
• Must be 18+
• Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years (security clearance required)
• Basic numeracy skills
