Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Scrub Practitioners who are registered ODPs or Nurses with a passion for surgical care. You will join a dynamic theatre team at Chorley Hospital, rotating through scrub disciplines to broaden knowledge and experience.

In this role you’ll support Team Leaders in delivering high-quality peri-operative care, supervise and mentor students and colleagues, and help maintain a safe, organised clinical area in line with professional standards

Qualifications

• Registered ODP or Nurse with passion for surgical care.
• Willing to rotate through scrub disciplines to gain knowledge and experience.
• Support Team Leaders in day-to-day running of the clinical area and uphold standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality peri-operative care in a fast-paced theatre environment.
• Mentor and supervise students and junior staff to support professional development.

To support the Team Leaders in the day to day efficient running of the clinical area by providing excellent peri-op care to Patients by maintaining standards of care and professional practice. Be responsible for assisting in the planning, delivery and evaluation of care to meet the personalised Health and wellbeing needs of patients in line with the Trust Values / HCPC and NMC professional frameworks. Ensure the productive operation of the clinical area by ensuring that a well organised and safeenvironment is maintained. Act as a strong role model and encourage and support the professional development of self and others. Provide clinical supervision and direction for all colleagues and students to support them in reaching their full potential.
