What You’ll Be Responsible For

In this strategically important role, you will have full responsibility for the performance, culture and results of the Volkswagen Sales Department. This includes:

Leadership & Team Development
  • Leading and motivating a talented team
  • Coaching, developing and recruiting top-quality sales talent
  • Creating a culture of high performance, accountability, and positive customer-focused behaviours
  • Delivering regular coaching, one-to-ones and performance development plans
Commercial Strategy & Delivery
  • Owning all new and used car sales performance, stock management and profitability
  • Creating and executing retail and fleet sales strategies aligned to Volkswagen UK objectives
  • Driving finance penetration, product sales and value-added income streams
Digital & Customer Experience Leadership
  • Leading an exceptional customer experience journey across all touchpoints — showroom, digital and aftersales handover
  • Embedding Volkswagen standards, digital tools and enquiry management processes
  • Ensuring enquiry response, follow-up quality and conversion metrics exceed benchmarks
  • Personally resolving complex customer issues with professionalism and integrity
Operational Excellence & Brand Standards
  • Overseeing showroom presentation, digital listings, marketing activity and brand compliance
  • Managing part-exchange processes, online valuations and stock turn performance
  • Collaborating closely with Aftersales, Marketing and senior leadership to maximise overall retailer success
