Job summary

Matalan is looking for a General Sales Assistant to deliver a friendly, efficient service to customers and to help maintain a high standard of store experience. You will be active on the shop floor, at the till, and in the stock room, supporting sales goals while living our values.

You’ll join a family-style team with approachable management, receive a thorough induction, access to the MyMatalan platform for ongoing development, and enjoy benefits such as a colleague discount and a pension

Job description

As a General Sales Assistant within our stores, you’ll be delivering an efficient and reliable service to our customers who are at the heart of everything we do. You will be a customer advisor achieving our sales whilst living our Matalan Values; maintaining a high performing, energetic and adaptable energy – all whilst making sure that our customer’s experience in-store is at the forefront of our work.

You’ll have great exposure of a fast-paced retail sales environment; working across the shop floor, till area and stock room.
