Job summary

New England Seafood in Grimsby is seeking a Production Operative to join a busy production team. You will help prepare, pack and dispatch seafood products while maintaining food safety standards. Full training is provided.

We offer flexible shifts, including part-time and weekend roles, ongoing work, free parking, and opportunities for upskilling within a friendly environment. No prior seafood experience is required, as full training is given.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to undertake manual handling duties.
• Full training provided, with opportunities for upskilling.
• Food safety awareness is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Packing fish products into trays, boxes and packaging materials.
• Weighing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch.
• Stacking finished products onto pallets safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out quality checks on products and packaging.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and health & safety.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
• Assisting with loading and unloading stock when required.
• Working as part of a team to achieve production targets.
• Following company procedures and instructions at all times.

multiple shift patterns available to suit different lifestyles, including full-time, part-time, weekend, and overtime opportunities. Pay rates vary depending on your skills, experience, and shift pattern.

Available Shifts

Monday to Friday: 6:00am - 6:00pm

4 On / 4 Off: 6:00am - 6:00pm

Monday to Friday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm

About the Role

As a

Production Operative, you will work as part of a busy production team helping to prepare, pack, and dispatch high-quality seafood products while maintaining excellent food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Packing fish products into trays, boxes, and packaging materials
• Weighing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch
