Job summary

Operose Health is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver high-quality primary care at Silver End Surgery, Witham. The post offers 4 sessions per week (Mon Tue) with a salary up to £112,500 FTE depending on experience. Indemnity cover and visa support may be available.

You will work with clinical leads, participate in governance and audits, and provide care across consultations, triage, home visits and on-call duties, following GMC standards and local protocols.

Qualifications

• Current registration with GMC and NHS performers list.
• GP accreditation - MRCGP examination or equivalent experience.
• Sound commitment to delivering quality and patient-focused services.
• Knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and appropriate coding.
• Working knowledge of clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMISweb.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality clinical care to patients registered at the GP surgery and collaborate with clinical leads to support the surgery's operational plan.
• Maintain quality through clinical governance activities and contribute to quality outcomes via audit, QOF and other standards including CQC.
• Provide clinical care as described in the job plan, including in-person and video consultations, triage, results, reviews, and on-call duties.
• Adhere to the highest GMC standards and prioritise patient care.
• Work with the Practice Manager to develop, deliver and review the surgery action plan including list growth, patient satisfaction, KPI targets and cost management.

Main duties of the job

• To deliver high quality clinical care to the patients registered and attending the GP surgery and to work closely with the clinical leads and local practice team to support the delivery of the surgeries operational plan.
• You will strive to maintain quality within the practice ensuring participation in clinical governance activity and contribute to the improvement in quality health outcomes through audit and the Quality and Outcomes Framework and contributing to the practice achieving other quality standards to include CQC standards.
• To provide clinical care to patients as described in the job plan and in line with the total triage model. This will include consultation sessions (both in person and by video), telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews and prescription signing and other clinical administration, safeguarding lead, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings and on-call (excluding out of hours).
• To adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the GMC and to put individual patient care as your priority.
• Working with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead to support the development, delivery and review of the surgery action plan including list growth, patient satisfaction levels, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management.
