A community health service provider in Chesterfield seeks a General Practice Receptionist/Administrator to manage patient interactions and administrative tasks. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and basic knowledge of Microsoft tools. This role is pivotal in delivering excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth functioning of the medical practice. Training is provided for those new to the NHS.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, efficient and friendly person to be part of the reception team at Castle Street Medical Centre.
As a key member of the practice, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a high standard of customer service both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
Your responsibilities will include managing appointment bookings, handling patient enquiries, updating records, processing prescriptions, and supporting the clinical team with day‑to‑day administrative tasks. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the surgery and delivering excellent patient care in line with DCHS values.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy healthcare environment. Experience in a receptionist or administrative role, particularly within the NHS, is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
