Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a NMC-registered General Practice Nurse for flexible regional sessions across Ivybridge. This role covers treatment room procedures, wound care, immunisations (where trained) and chronic disease activity within well-supported GP environments.

You will work autonomously within clinic teams, maintain accurate digital notes in EMIS Web or SystmOne, and participate in NHS Health Checks and routine assessments.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Confident working independently within GP settings.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS.

You will support local clinical teams with essential nursing duties, chronic disease activity and day-to-day treatment room procedures. Each service provides clear protocols to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings

• Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained)


• Performing smear tests where cytology-trained


• Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments


• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes
