Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible sessional work across the Calne area, delivering essential nursing support within GP clinics.

You will undertake wound care, chronic disease reviews and immunisations, with the option of ad-hoc or ongoing opportunities depending on availability.

Flexible sessional work with evening and weekend options allows tailored schedules to fit clinicians' commitments and patient needs.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Confident working independently within GP settings.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings.
• Supporting chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans.
• Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained).
• Performing smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments.
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes.
• Supporting general nursing duties as required by the clinic.
