Overview

Role: General Practice Manager

Location: Brighton

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours / 5 days per week (minimum 30 hours / 4 days per week considered)

Pay: £45,600 + per annum (depending on experience)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a General Practice Manager to join our clients' growing team in Brighton with multiple offices supporting a wide range of businesses and individuals across the county.

Requirements
  • ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent experience in practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105 reporting standards
  • Confident in managing accounts preparation through to final sign-off
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple deadlines
  • Ambitious and eager to progress within a growing firm
  • Experienced in mentoring junior staff and supporting team development
The Role
  • Oversee and manage a diverse client portfolio, ensuring high-quality and proactive accounting and advisory services
  • Prepare and review year-end accounts for SMEs under FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105
  • Prepare tax computations and CT600s, and review VAT returns
  • Manage, mentor, and supervise a team of accountants and administrative staff
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing client portfolios and support new business initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and internal quality procedures
  • Collaborate with senior management to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency
  • Act as the main point of contact for key client relationships, maintaining clear and professional communication
