Pro Recruitment Group Lancashire is seeking an experienced General Practice Director to join the senior leadership team. ACA or ACCA qualified with a track record at Senior Manager/Associate Director/Director level is essential, with strong business advisory and relationship-building capabilities.

You will lead client relationships, oversee accounts and provide strategic guidance beyond compliance, shaping growth and partnerships within a growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger privately owned organisations
• Overseeing the delivery of accounts, year-end compliance and wider business advisory work
• Acting as a senior point of contact for clients and developing long-term relationships
• Providing commercial and strategic advice to clients beyond their core compliance requirements
• Reviewing accounts and ensuring high standards of technical delivery
• Managing, mentoring and developing members of the accounts team
• Supporting the wider team with technical queries and complex client assignments
• Identifying opportunities to broaden client relationships and introduce additional services
• Playing an active role in business development and winning new work
• Working alongside Partners and other senior team members on the continued growth of the practice
• Contributing to the development of internal processes, people and service delivery

A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Lancashire is looking to appoint an experienced General Practice Director to join its senior leadership team.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who is looking beyond their current Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director position and wants a genuine route towards Partnership in the future.

The role would suit someone with strong experience across accounts and business advisory work, who enjoys developing client relationships, leading teams and playing a wider role in the growth of a practice.

What you will be doing as a General Practice Director

• Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger privately owned organisations

What you will need to succeed as a General Practice Director

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Currently operating at Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director level within an accountancy practice
• An experienced accounts professional with a strong background in practice
• Comfortable managing a varied portfolio of clients
• Experienced in reviewing accounts and providing advice to owner-managed and privately owned businesses
• A confident client relationship manager with strong communication skills
• Commercially minded, with an interest in business development and growing client relationships
• Experienced in managing and developing junior and qualified staff
• Ambitious and motivated to take the next step in their career

The key requirement is ambition. This role is particularly well suited to someone who wants to progress beyond their current position and has a long-term goal of becoming a Partner.
