Job summary

Holcim UK is seeking a confident General Operative for our Barton concrete block plant. You will operate manufacturing equipment and work within a multi-skilled team to maximise production.

The role requires physical fitness for manual labour, shift work in a 06:00-14:15, 14:00-22:15, 22:00-06:15 pattern, and full training is provided for the right candidate. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Motivated candidate with drive and a positive attitude.
• Able to work as part of a shift team.
• Able to work on your own initiative and manage tasks.
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour including lifting 20 kg.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently to maximise production.
• Inspect and maintain cleanliness of equipment, production area and storage areas.
• Work as part of a multi-skilled production team producing concrete products.
• Adhere to site instructions and plant routines; potential overtime during busy periods.
• Full training provided for the right candidate.
