Job summary

Reliable Contractors is seeking a General Operative / Labourer to join a major construction project in Manchester. The role is full-time on a PAYE basis, with £15.25 per hour for the first 39 hours and time-and-a-half thereafter, plus 30 days of paid holidays.

You will hold a CSCS Green Labourer Card and NPORS Traffic Marshal qualification, with duties including general labouring and traffic marshalling while maintaining site health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• CSCS Green Labourer Card required.
• NPORS Traffic Marshal required.
• Previous experience on construction or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to carry out general labouring duties and traffic marshalling.
• Reliable and proactive approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general labouring duties across site.
• Assist tradespeople and site teams with daily activities.
• Carry out traffic marshalling duties safely and efficiently.
• Assist with deliveries and movement of materials around site.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and free from hazards.
• Follow site procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
• Support the successful delivery of the project.

PAYE basis
