Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment in Wakefield is seeking a General Operative to support our client’s manufacturing site. This role covers a choice of shifts and requires reliability and teamwork.

We offer an early or later shift with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour, with potential to increase to £13.89 per hour based on performance and hours worked. Training and safety induction are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous machine-operating or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and keep production running smoothly.
• Remove finished products from the line.
• Pack, label and complete basic paperwork.
• Carry out visual quality checks.
• Reprocess waste using the waste picker.
• Clean machinery and maintain a tidy work area.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and work as part of a team to hit production targets.

Hours: Either Monday-Thursday 6am-2pm & Friday 6am-1pm or Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm & Friday 8am-4pm. MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR EITHER SHIFT

• Packing, labelling, and completing basic paperwork
• Carrying out visual quality checks

• Cleaning machinery and maintaining a tidy work area
• Following all Health & Safety procedures
• Working as part of a team to hit production targets
