Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting for General Operatives to join a busy fridge processing plant in Toomebridge. The role involves sorting appliances for recycling, safely dismantling components, and operating processing machinery in a fast-paced setting.

Day and night shifts are available with full-time hours and overtime opportunities. Previous experience in recycling, manufacturing, or warehouse work is desirable.

Qualifications

• Forklift Truck Licence is required or desirable.
• Mechanical aptitude or experience dismantling equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to operate machinery or willingness to undertake training.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Sort refrigerators, washing machines, tumble dryers, and other appliances into correct recycling streams.
• Safely dismantle appliances and remove recyclable components such as compressors, motors, and copper.
• Operate processing and shredding machinery safely and efficiently.
• Carry out quality inspections on incoming materials.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Report equipment faults and safety concerns promptly.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience within recycling, waste management, manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments is desirable.
