Job summary

A specialized engineering recruitment firm is looking for General Operatives for an industrial shutdown at a power station near Rochester. The role involves assisting in repairing cooling tower equipment and performing general laboring tasks. Candidates must possess a CSCS/CCNSG card and ideally have certificates for confined space entry and working at height. Previous experience in the heavy engineering industry is preferred. The position offers approximately 10 hours of work per day during scheduled shutdowns.

Qualifications

• Required CSCS or CCNSG card to work on site.
• Confined Space Entry certificate is mandatory.
• Experience in the heavy engineering industry is essential.
• Experience with hand and power tools in heavy industry is essential.
• Experience in heavy engineering sectors (Power, O&G, Petrochemical, Renewables) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• General Operatives for an industrial shutdown on a power station near Rochester. Duties will include assisting with repair and replacement of cooling tower equipment, moving materials, labouring, industrial cleaning, using hand and power tools.
